News: My thoughts are clouds I cannot fathom into pastries.

Quote: Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest of hearts. --Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

When the Bamboozles Get Blimmety and Snop on the Wimbangles

What happens when the bamboozles start whipplesnorting and wanfangling around with the wimbangles? What happens when they SNOP on the poor little wimbangles? Well, then you've really got some issues with your story plot. First of all, you probably should leave your bamboozles alone. They tend to get gersniffity and fight right about the time you feel a climax is about to kerpoof! And what of the wimbangles? Bah! Forget them, they can take care of themselves. You see, if you try to mess with wimbangles they get all sulky and start kersniding at the bamboozles and then *BRrrOOFO* you've got another snop.

"What's all this nonsense about!" you ask me. Well, to tell you the truth, it's what's in my head. All these crazy words all scrambled together, fried on my conscience, and spit through my nervous endings. Gah. 'Tis nonsense indeed, but neurological nonsense. I think that sounds much more stable than plain nonsense.

What happens if a writer goes insane? Have you ever wondered? Ever considered such a stupendous thing? I have...just right now. It almost makes sense, if such a thing as insanity could ever make sense. But let us not dwell on such horrible things; rather shall we skip off to the simple thoughts of a simple person?

Yet, I cannot! I cannot be simple minded nor can I be a simple person. Why, is there really such a thing as simpleness at all? Perhaps good sense...but not simpleness, for each person is to their own a unique individual. And that in itself should be enough, but politicians these days bang their phones on the table like the gavel of a judge, shouting to the world "Simple minded people are different than us!" What folly! Simpleness is not a character trait, nay, 'tis a board nailed over your own eyeballs my friend. For what appears to be simpleness to you is really the truth of another person's life. So, from now on, do not go condemning someone of being simple minded, rather, try to remove yourself from your own shoes and slap on the other person's boots.

Okay, so, mini-sermon out of the way I can now expostulate on something else. For instance, how do you like my new background? It's not going to permanently stay, but it shall do for now. You see, Blogger (and I'm very happy for them) finally decided to let users upload their own photographs. Therefore, I can now click on the design button and open up the Template Designer and *poof* upload my own picture (or a free downloaded image). Just make sure, folks, that whatever you download is legal. Don't download something that is under a copyright not allowing you to download it :)

That's about all I have to say for now, I've about exhausted my supply of thoughts. I know that new thoughts are beginning to bubble up from the brink of my mind. If you want some more interesting stuff to read, check out the poem I wrote: {Falling To Autumn}

Signed with Thoughtfulness,

  1. Ah, I've been down the writer-to-insanity road many times. Out of such times comes my reasoning for madness--like Why Everything Is Random. *nods wisely*

  2. That was absolutely amazing. May I have your blog button code, please?
