News: If I could, I'd tie my hair up in dreds and live the life of adventure from the high seas to the mountain peaks, gathering gold and jewels and tales of mystery and action :) but for now, I'll just have to do with writing about these things as if they were truly real.

Marvelous! C'est Magnifique!

I never thought I'd reach 52 followers in such a short period of time. Thank you all! You're such awesome people to talk with :) And thank you to all of you who have been with me from the beginning and those that have just recently hopped on board! *counts statistics like a weird scientist* From my deduction, since I started the Green Giveaway at 40 followers, we've all jumped up 12 since that time! Crazy! So there it is...c'est magnifique! Bonsoir my friends!

Squeaks.

(Was that weird or what? Ah well, I'm in a jolly mood...all the more reason to sit back and smile like a crow...or was it a cat? or dog...ah I don't remember)

  1. Since the voting has been extended...are entries still possible? I fear not, but questions are always better once asked :)

  2. I'm sorry Millard, the entry flow has been officially stopped :( But there will be a next time :) Just stay tuned (I'm thinking 100 followers, but even that might be too soon). In the mean time though, make sure you read through the current entries on the "Green Giveaway" page. Once you've read those and the voting rules, make sure you vote! I was hoping for more votes that what there currently are, but you never know, there are still 3 days left.

  3. U'che!

Thanks for taking the time to reply Squeaks, I've been checking out your blog, good stuff :) Well worth reading. I'll definitely vote, someone has gotta win, and maybe I can tip the scales for the best story ;)

I already skimmed most of the entries but I'll give it a hard go this time. I love your idea of having to work in a word...that'd really test me if I had to do that in everything I wrote. Though I suppose I'd get beter at it after awhile :)

Are you OK if I direct traffic here to vote?

  4. Sounds grand! And yes, I'd love it if you directed traffic here :)

All of the entries are great; and I opened up commenting permissions on the Green Giveaway page so if you have any positive critique for the given material, go for it! I'll be releasing the names of the writers once the giveaway is finished.

Since this was a descriptive competition I don't think it was too hard for the writers to add in the "special word". Green is found in nearly every living thing ;) I think it helped them out too...forced them to write descriptive scenes (or at least choose from more nature-ish scenes in their books) :P

  6. 100 followers? O.o Nice. :) I wonder how ye got so many followers...and how ye take so nice pictures of the computer screen!? ^_^

  7. @Jake, I have MS Office One Note; you can take these fancy little screen clippings...but if you don't have that program, simply press the Prt Sc button (should be at the top of the keyboard next to F12 and delete). Paste that onto paint and then crop it, or paste it onto Paint, save it, upload it in a photoeditor and crop it to show what you want ;) A bit more complicated than One Note's option but it gives good pictures :)

    I hope that helps a bit :P
