News: I moved the keyboard to my room and now I feel strongly inclined to tell the world that I adore Phantom of the Opera. Everything is perfectly normal and no, I don't have access to any secret underground labyrinth...yet.

SOTK Update :)

I'm happy to say that SOTK is faring well. Mom called dad and he said SOTK should go to either the family doc or emerg. Mom had to take him to emerg because the family doctor's office was closed. He got a tetanus shot (he shivered when he told me) and methinks they flushed it out and put a band-aid on it. He's on antibiotics and other than that, he's fine! So hip-hip-hoorah!

His hand is quite swollen and bruised. It kind of reminded me of a nail mark that you'd get if you had to be crucified *shiver* XD

Signed with a sigh,

Squeaks.

  1. Glad to hear he's alright! Sounds pretty painful. I had to get a cortisone shot in my knee the other day and WOW did it hurt!

  2. Ouch! I know my mom gets cortisone shots sometimes for her arthritis...you don't have arthritis, do you?

Yeah, SOTK is doing pretty good now XD He's downstairs making a potatoe gun XD

  3. No, but for some reason by knee has been giving me trouble for the past few months. After finally getting into a specialist, that's the first thing they wanted to try. So far it seems to be much better, but still a little bit sore from the shot.

Patatoe gun, huh? Sounds pretty awesome. I might have to make me one of those sometime. I've heard they're reall fun.

  4. Oy, that doesn't sound like fun. I'll be praying that it'll feel better soon!

Yeah, potato guns are crazy. My physics teacher had one and I tell ya, he went wild. He set it up and the first time (when he used it in the class room) he broke the clock on the wall...smashed it into pieces. The second time, he used it outside and nearly took out a car's windshield XD You definitely do have to be careful with those things XD

  6. Wow, glad to hear he's better! I told my mom about it, and she said "You pray for the brother, I'll pray for the parents!!" lol ;)

IIIII want a potato gun! :(

  7. Lol; yeah, SOTK has a very high pain tolerance so I don't know if it's actually bad or just LOOKS bad (because it looks awful...there is stuff oozing from the bandage and it's HUGely swollen and purple *gag*)

Thanks so much for praying, guys! It was a miracle that he didn't break any bones. We're not sure if his tendons are ok yet...he said something about the doctors wanting to do surgery (although he could have been exaggerating) and check it out.

Actually, he nearly seems impressed with himself. XD Here he is, he's lived after a nasty dog bite, and he probably doesn't have to do as much math as normal XD

  8. I'm so glad he's feeling better! Thank God for that.

We had a scare the other day when my 11 year old sister (who looks like she might be 8, she's so tiny) got thrown off my sister's horse, Prosperous, when the dog spooked him. She didn't get hurt, but apparently he did nick her back with his forehooves. She was a little bruised, but no blood and no broken anything. My sister completely freaked out; I probably would too.

    I'm still praying! :)

  9. Yikes! Falling from a horse is scary enough if you haven't fallen often, but nearly being trampled...*shivers* those are harrowing experiences. I was nearly trampled by our pony once, when I was 6 or 7. My brother was recently trampled by a full grown horse; it almost killed him because the horse stepped on his face. The doctors said if it had been a centimeter further up the head, he would have been killed because it would have hit his temple...so God was definitely watching over him ;)
